Bringing Ebola patients back to the U S is not a smart move.

The two in question are American aid workers, who were there to help others. Do you think we should abandon them?

Summers, another Pied Piper of stupid fears, leading the mental midgets down a rat hole of irrational panic.

“Why do those on the left always jump to the worst conclusions? (Sort of like, if you’re against Obama’s foreign policy, you want to start a war?)
We could always ship our labs, doctors and researchers over there, you know…"
Is that really jumping to the worst conclusion, asking if the Aid Workers should be abandoned?
Thanks for the interesting offer to send doctors, a lab and lab techs etc to the region. Would they be able to pack up enough equipment to really set up a lab, find a place to set it up, find a power source for the equipment and start working on the problem before the Aid Workers died from ebola? Don’t the people in charge of this know better than most lay people? Aren’t the logistics in the way?

No, but there are probably other options then bringing them back to the States. I certainly don’t believe the CDC would let them stroll around downtown Atlanta and lick people. And I would like them to get the best care they could. But it does seem like an unnecessary risk.

My apologies Moose. After my earlier reply and some more thought, I decided I didn’t know enough about the precautions taken in transporting and caring for them. I did a little more research and see where I was in error. I agree with your statement. Bring ’em home so they can…hopefully…be treated with sufficient care.

I’ve had second thoughts on some of my posts too! Thanks for your civility.
