And Osama bin Laden proved how “on top of things” Bush and Cheney were?

The whole thing started with Bradley Manning not being able to convey to his superiors that there were crimes of war and crimes against humanity going on inside the U.S. military forces. They locked him away for live. What was Snowden supposed to do? Suffer the same fate for exposing an even bigger thing? As long as the U.S. has no moral compass, no guidance, and is hitting back hard on people who expose that fact more Snowdens will have to seek asylum in the “free world as of 2013”…

" Don’t you [dtroutma] get tired of hearing your own thoughts?"
There are several explanations of how you could even ask such a question. I will point out a few:
    1. The asker asks this because the asker is aware that the “Right” changes its position so often that the echowarriors never have to tire of having any one thought for long.
    2. The asker is so ill trained at thinking that any one thought gives it a “tummy ache of the head” and so, marvels at someone that can maintain a consistent perspective.
    3. The asker doesn’t recognize his part in this dynamic. He doesn’t realize that the reason the asked keeps repeating the same line again and again is that the asker (and those of a like mind) never seem to understand the basic truth that the asked is presenting. Therefore the asked has to present it again. It’s not that the asked isn’t tired of saying the same thing again and again, but rather that if the asker’s type can’t agree there, there is no sense in trying to move forward with them. (I will tell you, that dtroutma moves far beyond this line of reasoning when presented with people that can understand the basics.)
    4. The asker is so tired of hearing his own thoughts (that wind up being embarrassingly incorrect) that he has tired of hearing his own thoughts. He is “projecting” his own feelings of inadequacy upon others.
There are plenty of other explanations of how the asker could ask such a question, but I’ll leave it at these for now.

As to the ‘America Hating" cartoon.
Was Obama elected in 2008 or in 1788? Is this entire nation a creation of the Obama Administration? And even if it is, who’s side are you on?
A totalitarian and a Libertarian team up to give America a black eye and you say “Shame on us for our black guy!”
In what previous administration would you have felt comfortable being so Anti American? When before would you feel glee at the idea that some cyber punk and the leader of the unfree world, the nation who’s #1 export is criminals, are thumbing their noses at the USA?
What happened to “We pull together in a crisis!”? You are despicable! You don’t care about the nation, you only want to get your shots in the president.
If you’re such a fan of Putin putin the boot to Obama, then why don’t you just join Comrade Snowden and ply your trade in Russia? We’ve seen Russian cartoons here. They don’t hold a candle to your drawing talent. You could be a big hit there. I’m sure Putin wouldn’t mind you making “jokes” at his expense.
