It’s not nice to feed the paranoid. They live well enough on their own psychotic delusions.

A famous conservative quote: “If you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.”

Exaggerated claim. The IRS isn’t going out to get conservatives. Its just that there are too many new groups who want tax exempt status that engage in politics. Simple Q & A on this subject explained.

The Civil Servants are protecting themselves from ‘smaller government’ efforts. Can you imagine what the Flat Tax concept would do? Unemployment Lines would be filled with IRS employees and corporate tax accountants.

Wrong on C. “They didn’t scrutinize groups on the lib side.” The IRS targeted the NAACP in 2004, and kept at it for 2 years. The NAACP squacked plenty! But that didn’t stop the IRS. Nor did Bush make any statement decrying the actions of the IRS, as Obama has.

I agree that the IRS should only investigate groups who demonstrate activities that suggest they are breaking their tax-exempt status. The Tea -Party may have demonstrated that problem in some official way, and the IRS should have done their investigations even handedly.

Perhaps the Republican Congress can be as “even-handed” with Obama’s Cabinet choices!

In 1967 the IRS investigated the Sierra Club, and it lost its tax exempt status. http://www.answers.com/topics/sierra-club
