“Oh good grief, he wasn’t threatened.”
♦
The pertinent part of Gene Sperling’s (a senior economic adviser to the President) email to Bob Woodward:
♦
“But I do truly believe you should rethink your comment about saying saying [sic] that [Obama] asking for revenues is moving the goal post. I know you may not believe this, but as a friend, I think you will regret staking out that claim.”
♦
I don’t realistically see any way to deny this as a anything but a threat.

Oh, yeah, if you try to stop a friend from making a error, that’s obviously a threat.
I mean, a REAL friend is one that stands back when you are screwing up royally and then laughs at you when you fall on your face.

“… if you try to stop a friend…” Wow. You think they are friends. ha ha This is DoubleSpeak. Translation: Don’t force me to hurt you, friend.

Go read the whole story, DrCanuck. This is after a loud argument on the telephone.

Redneck Canadian, you are a real friend to America. Except we don’t follow your advice and somehow are getting along very well.

Hurt? Who, other than you, said anything about hurting anyone?
And was this before or after Sperling and Woodward both apologized to each other and restated their friendship?
And was it before or after Faux News said, “There is absolutely no story here but let’s feign outrage and hype it up to use it as a club against Obama to turn people against him”?

Tigger said, “You mane Obama?”
No, Tigger; I’ve never maned anyone in my entire life.

I guess now that the story has been beaten for a day you see I was right?

“… Who, other than you, said anything about hurting anyone?…” ha ha. I guess you are too far North to know about gangster talk in US. “Don’t make me have to hurt you” is the same as “friend, you will regret it.”
