When he has as many functional weapons as Israel, there may be cause to worry. But granted, North Korea has long had a near lock on “crazy and punish your population for weapons”. And U.S. “defense” contractors keep working hard to match them.

Israel is the problem? How many nukes have they shot off to destroy their neighbors? Oh, yea, none.
N Korea needs all the supporters they can get.
Do you send money to them?

Trout, the issue is not Israel, who is the target of annihilation. N Korea is not the target of annihilation; they are the target of their own ambition. And they are already trying to test long-range weaponry. If they combine that, it could mean Japan, S Korea, and even possibly us are subject to Nuke attacks. And, what’s worse, is that our glorious leader and his cronies in Washington have done away with the defense spending on the missile defense “shield.” M.A.D. doesn’t work against nutjobs like the N Korean (dictator)leadership.

How about America: the target of annihilation or the target of their own ambition?

“Righties”, on blogs, media, and Congress, never get the point as they try to scare up more “terror” with the public. MY point is that Israel has far more nuclear weapons than N. Korea, as well as delivery systems, and has repeatedly attacked their neighbors under the guise of “self-defense”.
Yes, the North Koreans have long waved threats in the air, and their government has long been more than a little nuts, but the REALITY of capabilities, in light of the immediate response they could expect if they acted on those threats, makes the fear-mongers inflated theories, moot. Remember, we’re still officially at war with N. Korea, as only a ceasefire was signed.

We actually never declared war on N Korea. It was listed as a Police Action, just like Vietnam. But you are correct about the cease-fire.
The point I made about the nukes was the intent behind the weapons. Israel does have nukes, but they don’t test them, they don’t lob them at their enemies, and they haven’t declared that they wish to destroy xyz country. Now, compare that to their enemies (namely Palestine and Iran), who have stated they want to wipe Israel off the map.
So we are worried about them getting nukes. N Korea has repeatedly threatened to destroy Japan, wants to take over S Korea, and wants to destroy us. Them getting ICBM-capable nukes, while still in their infancy, is not a good thing.
