Actually…. Rush would be lowering his standards to be associated with the NFL!

Finally, an HONEST editorial cartoon concerning the Rush/Rams “controversy.”
I personally think the only real vice Rush has is his affection for professional sports. “Grown men playing with little balls”. Ho-hum.
It’s a childish activity, say what you will. Boys do it for fun, and for needed exercise. Men should, at most, indulge in it for the same reasons.
The fact most American males know far more about sports than they do about politics is partly why we have degraded–for all intents and purposes–into a feminist matriarchy controlled by Girl Government.
Yeah, once we had the constantly-demonized Patriarchy, where women had husbands and kids had fathers. Now we have instead a Girl Government sponsored feminist matriarchy, where women have EBT cards (paid for mostly by the wifeless men who have been replaced by EBT cards) and kids are neglected, abused, and increasingly even killed, either by their own selfish-slut mothers or by the brain-dead boyfriends the aforementioned sluts bring home on any given night…
No wonder Demoncrats call such behavior “progress!”
(insert Hee Haw noises here)

Great ‘toon.

scott.
Your language is dishonest, insulting, and quite frankly, dull beyond measure. You spend paragraph after paragraph saying nothing at all, ranting at demons that only you can see. Feminist girls government? Selfish-slut mothers? Meaningless drivel.
I recall that you once professed an admiration for George Orwell, due to, you said, his honesty. Yet every word you write is an insult to honest communication, every post an affront to the sort of honest language that Orwell spent so much time fighting for.
Perhaps worst of all, you aren’t even funny anymore. And on the internet, that’s the highest crime.

Now, as to the ‘toon: It is correct that the NFL is absolutely full of small time criminals, and Rush could easily have fit in. However, he is even louder than the players, and the owners decided they did not need the distraction. It was a business decision not a political one. The end. If you don’t like our capitalist system, too bad.
But like I said before, Rush is no martyr. He got what he wanted – attention.

^ I’ve been wondering the same. Maybe I should say “we” since there are others speculating.
Perhaps simply an unrequited love? Who was Freitas’s little red-haired girl?
cdward said, about 1 month ago
omQ R how do you do this with the picture? I will not speculate on scott’s private life.

Scottfreitas apparently thinks that Rush’s sex tourism, drug abuse, illegal misuse of drugs, and racism don’t count as “vices.” I don’t even mention the sexism, because he’s obviously down with that.

Where are the formatting codes for this site? Does one need to be a genius to use them?

@Cdward I’ve been wary about posting images as it can present problems if everyone starts doing it! Size can be an issue. I’m currently on a PC that doesn’t have any image editing software so I couldn’t reduce the size of the Peanuts ‘toon. I’m also worried about image copy-right infringements. I half expect my post to be removed. If other forum members decide to use it, please keep other members in consideration. (although, I’m not really considering much of Scott. That makes me a hypocrite. :-/ )
@Charlie555 I don’t believe one has to have a genius account.
EDIT: I did provide a link earlier but on 2nd thoughts I can see some users misusing this. I just did!
Therefore I will remove my image post and use instead a redirect url.
Just before Satipera was removed from here I had provided a link to the same site. Hmmm, how do I provide this without seeming to be elitist?

sigh I sense a Pandora’s box being opened…
I will post the link but ask that others follow a gentleman/lady’s agreement to not abuse it?
I grabbed it from Old Wolf’s Pibgorn fan site’s Unofficial Style Guide.

Thanks, omQ R.
It would just be more expressive to use italics and bold sometimes.

^ Dude, it isn’t the Enigma, I didn’t develop the codes, I found them by searching for them when standard html formating didn’t work. They aren’t mine and I take no credit for them, use them at your own peril but use them responsibly.
If you cannot find them on this page, that’s your problem.

Tap “Ignore Button”
Scottsie clearly has a problem with females, it is noticeable in his ranting.
Just my opinion from what I’ve read, but here goes:
I’d imagine some woman took a little liking to him, thought he could be fixed, re-trained, changed or molded into her dream guy or some approximation thereof and the father of her children.
With his self professed lack of income to support even himself, and the strong possibility that this woman ended up pregnant, she finally woke up and realized it was a seriously losing proposition. His conversations with people in person can’t be too much different from the made-up facts only he is privy to. It is likely she broke it off, had the little thing cleansed from her body.
This would, of course, break his heart and turn it into a stone cold lump in his chest. But, it could have been a stone cold lump to begin with. She can’t be all bad.
He writes as if he thinks it will result in him becoming one of the uber-wealthy. I don’t think the uber-wealthy will ever welcome him into their fold.
All of this makes him a shallow, bitter, spouter of self-made-up-facts and his calling anyone that disgrees with him a girly man, feminized-male and a host of other derogatory names.
I feel very sorry for this one. I think he deserves his bitter little world now. We will not be able to re-educate this one. He has doomed himself forever.
Tap “Ignore Button” again.
I’m sure if he receives no additional attention he will eventually become frustrated and leave.

How do you push the Ignore button? Is this a real thing or notional?
jmworacle said, about 1 month ago
There are two sets of standards, liberals are able to do anything and it is “oh, well” but you do not have to have evidence to comdem a conservative for wrong doing.
cjr53 said, about 1 month ago
Anyone that has been around enough to know AOL, knows about the “Ignore Button.” It is now just figurative. We can as a group ignore him/her/it.
Let’s just ignore Scottsie and maybe he’ll pipe down and go away. He has stated way too many “facts” that he made up. Lacks credibility and gives “right-wingers” a bad name.
Scottsie makes many personal attacks which are not necessary. And is very similar to a broken record. Genuine debate is good. That isn’t what Scottsie is doing.
I believe this whole board will be better off without that sort of ilk. It would also be wonderful if the party of “No” would take that stance also on a national and local level.
Republicans for many weeks have spouted things like “Death Panels” and no one bats an eye. When a Democrat states his belief of the Republicans plan is:
Don’t get sick.
If you do get sick, die quickly.
This one presentation resulted in a flood of demands for an apology. I don’t think an apology is warranted, at least until apologies for the numerous “death panel” type comments made by Republicans all over the US result in apologies. And, Republicans come up with a viable alternative for those without health insurance.
I know how much it costs for medical care. Without my insurance partially paid for by my employer, I’d have to sell my home and go live on the streets to pay for it all. There are millions of Americans without that benefit, yet we spend billions in Afghanistan and Iraq and are not one bit closer to catching Osama Bin Laden. Don’t forget, W & Crew started the wars and Barrack Obama inherited them.
That money could have been spent fixing bridges, roads and other American infrastructure. But, no, it is wasted fighting wars if far off lands with Americans dying. What a sad commentary on the USA.
motivemagus said, about 1 month ago
HOWGOZIT, you should know by now I don’t make things up, unlike Rush. He was caught exiting the Dominican Republic with a bottle of Viagra without his name on it; he later referred to it as a “great weekend,” and it happens to be one of the #1 sex tourism spots. Look it up.

charlie, if all you’re looking for is bold and italics, that’s simple.
Two asterisks before a word or phrase coupled with two after it will give you bold.
One before and after a word or phrase will give you italics.
If that’s what you wanted, hope this helps.

“There are two sets of standards, liberals are able to do anything and it is “oh, well” but you do not have to have evidence to comdem a conservative for wrong doing.”
jmworacle - I think it may go the opposite way, actually. Remember the fuss about Clinton getting a BJ? I guess you do. Quick question - how many of his public denouncers at the time were proven to have been adulterers? And how deep do you have to dig to find that out? Or about the fact that Al Gore has NOT claimed he invented the internet, despite being ridiculed for having said that time and again during his election campaign?
The bottom line is, it usually depends on the media you are following. But if you think Conservatives got it so hard and Liberals were let off the hook you haven’t paid much attention to the media in the last… 20+ years.
petergrt said, about 1 month ago
” … Clinton getting a BJ? …. how many of his public denouncers at the time were proven to have been adulterers?”
You have just proven jmworacle’s point.
While Clinton has been impeached for perjury, under oath, a felony, he survived, whereas a number of Republicans who were found out to have extramarital relations - not a criminal offense, were forced to resign - by its peers, out of the principle.
Some examples: Gingrich, Packwood and etc.
Whereas on the Democratic side of the isle - there are criminals serving in the house and the White House …
