As long as people can get stupified, they don’t have to pay attention to what the government is doing with their taxes.

At Least Football has a winner and a loser. Unlike everything in Washington. Those teams are so busy squabbling that everyone is glad the game just ends.

“as long as people can get stupified, they don’t have to pay attention to what big corporate business is doing with their life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”

Full disclosure: quoted from above with slight change

Hump, I’m with you on the ice hockey! Go Devils!

However, re: stealth’s remark about there being a winner. In life you don’t win or lose. You die. Then regardless of who you are you are either dead and gone (if that’s what you believe) or you live in eternity dealing with whatever God has in mind for you (which none of us has any way of knowing).

It’s just too bad so many people waste their lives trying to beat everyone else.

Football? ZZZzzzzzzz. The real athletes with helmets are race car drivers and hockey players. Put your ‘nads on the line at 200 MPH on the ovals, or even higher at the drags, or skate around with two razor blades on your feet that could slice another player up in a collision.

Uh, guess I’ll have to learn about North American Hockey via news outlets. I’m pretty much confined to the German and European leagues, which I do indeed enjoy. – PS, nose, your sarcasm displays a total lack of understanding of the sports, as does most of everything you post.

    sigh….
People have their favorite sports. Folks need to spend less time putting down other people’s choices. I’m not a big hockey fan but I’ve never seen a live game. I expect it might be more interesting in person. Personally, I’m a football/ basketball fan. I used to enjoy playing soccer but I don’t care for televised games; can’t see enough of the play.

Why waste your time with football or the Christian bible? Life is to be lived, not be a spectator (except for those reading comic sites).

LLeRay, true enough except. 1 While I’m unable to play I can still enjoy efforts of others ‘cause there’s still life out there. 2. Deal with the Christian Bible in anyway you see fit - for me the Bible is life.

GNW, did I understand you to say you were the team physician for the New Jersey Devils? Very cool! I started playing in middle age but have loved it ever since. During those playoffs I used to put a “Go Devils” poster up in our yard (next to the church). Folks got a kick out of that. I miss Scott Gomez though.
