Didn’t anyone tell him that the Republicans fear discussion?

HEY, SECONDSON, It took me a while, but I found it ! You asked me to name you one, so here it is . LEONARD ABRAMSON, The U.S. Healthcare Chief gets 1 Billion Compensation package, while reimbursements for some of their services are being slashed by as much as 20 percent.
Does that change your mind ? NO !

@senor If all your posts are as inaccurate as this one nobody will ever believe you. In 1996 Abramson sold US Healthcare. At that time he was the president and his salary was $3M/yr. Generous but in line with a multi-billion dollar company. He sold 100% of his stock to Aetna in 1996. He was the founder of the company, guided it for 20 years and his stock was worth $1B. A few years ago ARod signed a baseball contract for $.5B.

From ABC News: These are reforms that are popular with me. Note 85% of Americans already have health insurance. Instead of spending $1T to cover the other 15% lets do the below first.
“Instead, he will highlight three reforms that are popular among the 85 percent of Americans who already have health insurance.
Those three reforms are: (1) ending the practice of denying insurance coverage to people with a pre-existing illness; (2) keeping people from losing their coverage if they get sick; and (3) protecting Americans who face high out-of-pocket medical costs.

LET’S AGAIN allow the fox to guard the hen house. He’ll be good this time.
Have you ever heard the saying ” Cut out the middle man”, do you know what that means ? The other guy makes 102,000.00 plus an hour. Just think if he were the head of your local electric company. How much would you be paying to turn on a light ?
People who want to make money off the sick and dying, have the moral equivalents of dogs. They should pick something more morally acceptable like BOMBS.
I hope you read the 3rd paragraph of my link.
That was then, and in 13 years it’s at least tripled

Senor, One person does not justify a blanket statement. I am not saying that greed does not exist. It does. It is reprehensible. I would submit that insurance regulations need to be stepped up and enforcement of those regulations should be demanded. The government, however does not need to take control of the industry, they need to enforce their own regulations. I would submit that they are complacent and guilty of tacit acceptance.
And by the way, did you see the date on the newspaper report you posted? Yes, it was 1996. And who was President then? That’s right, the hero of the people William Jefferson Clinton. Not a peep about it till now? 13 years later?
Mr Helmsly is an unconscionable knave. He is a rat profiting on the misery of others. At least thats they way it is portrayed here. If I had my way his actions would warrant his immediate incarceration, and all his assets would be put to auction to cover the expenses of those who have been denied coverage by his direction. Unless of course he is not responsible for the denials, you know, by those layers of evil corporate beuacracy and red tape. That still does not justify the government taking control of the insurance industry.

Senor, as to “cost”. Yesterday CNN highlighted an Apache helicopter using a $68,000 Hellfire (anti-tank) missile to kill one guy in Afghanistan, followed by a gun burst to get his two partners, for under $100. WHY do these missiles get used against individuals that are meant for tanks???? Gee, does it have anything to do with industry profit from war??
I think we can readily transpose the “industry” resentment of a government health plan that is actually intended to REDUCE their profit margin by limiting fees, and payments in excess of need. My concern is that industry lobbyists will get us “Hellfire” (Republican) health care programs, to make “industry” comply, like Brer’ Rabbit in the briar patch, their smiles will be so wry.

Not a peep ? Harry and Louise? A republican congress and the media who laughed at, and then nearly ran Hillary out of town. Maybe you dont remember because it was not as SEXY as Bill.

Dtroutma, according to Senor’s video link, which I think refers to the same guy, the U.S. had a $5 million bounty on him.
Thus, by killing him with the Hellfire missile, we saved $4,932,000.
Just saying…

DTROUTMA, I Will give you this, although I cant find it as of now. Congress has or is going to buy more F-22 rafters for about 36 Billion dollars , even if the military doesn’t want them. Seems each part of the plane is made in EACH OF THE 50 STATES, everyone is on this gravy train, and Congress has not the want or will to kill it. The Pentagon wants a new plane but congress wont give them the money.

DTROUTMA, I’m a bit puzzled at your question. I find making money off of Bombs just as morally bankrupt as making money off of the sick and dying. I thought that would be clear, I was being sarcastic. I hope I’ve made myself clear and apologize for any misunderstanding.

senor: I don’t get MSNBC up here in the Great White North (just Faux, for some unknown reason), so I really appreciate you posting these bits. I’ve become a big Rachel Maddow fan, thanks to you. I really love listening to both her and O’Reilly’s take on the same stories.

Can you connect directly to their link ?
I couldn’t keep my sanity ( what’s left of it ) with out Olbermann and Maddow. I start my day with Stephanie Miller( that you can get on line,” live” on several sites from 6-9 AM PST.) and end my day on The daily show with Jon Stewart and maybe Stephen Colbert, of course there is the “Real News” when I want the whole Unbiased story, and that would be ” The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” that’s on PBS. If you like would any or all of these addresses, I’d be more than happy to give them to you.
But here’s the link to the whole crew for MSNBC and thanks for the kudos. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3096434/ns/msnbc_tv > just click on a “time” slot.

I think both sides are afraid of discussion, because neither sets of facts line up straight.
We have screened meetings, planted questions.. Its all about projecting the right image.. I’m pretty sure our politicians forgot how to have an upright honest conversation a long long time ago in a land not so far away..
