Daddy’s Home is a contemporary, family comic with an emphasis on the role of the modern father. No other cartoon feature examines domesticity from this uniquely male perspective, while remaining universally appealing to both genders. Through the eyes of a stay-at-home-dad, Daddy’s Home casts a unique light on everyday situations. With biting sarcasm and sharp wit, Peter and a cast of supporting characters, navigate the turbulent waters of modern family life.

When was the last time you used a pay phone?

I remember in the first Christopher Reeve “Superman” movie Clark stopped by a telephone booth just like that when he was about to go to the emergency. (It was the George Reeves series when he changed in a walk-in booth, right?)

It’s been a long time since I’ve even seen one of those – unless it’s in the the movies that were made before the turn of the century.

Six or seven years ago. Car was in the shop over the weekend, cell phone was at home on the charger. Raining buckets when I finished shopping and had to call a cab. If I could have carried the groceries home I would have, rain or no rain. Cab cost $9.00 to go 3/4 of a mile back home.

Better hope that update doesn’t mess up your song collection.

It’s been a while, high school maybe, or a few years after I graduated in 1971. Also haven’t seen a pay phone anywhere that I can remember in many years, let alone an actual phone booth.

Pay phones are around, you just have to look for them.
Make a game of it while you’re out and about.

Last time I used one was 1994. After Navy boot camp the company commander recommended we all tape a quarter to the back of our ID card so we could always call a cab in an emergency. Last time I saw a pay phone it was fifty cents to make a call.
