Bought a 100 year old house, stripped it to the studs, moved walls, and are still working on it while living in it. My bathroom floor ~ has no floor. Fun taking a shower. oy.

Way back when in my 30s, rented backhoe to dig, concrete mixer for one bag at a time and formed the mesh for the sump in deepest part – dug away some tree roots etc and built my first waterfall over a labor day weekend.

I was the general contractor for building our home. I do not recommend this job to anybody. Before we could start, we had to tear down the old foundation that was left there. Also had to tear down and discard an old house at the top of the property. Building the 10 × 30 deck was the easiest part.
