    Master’s level: finding rhymes for orange, silver, and purple.

    None of these are rhymes. Only the Ecru Echidna matches the first two phonemes.

    Depending on pronunciation: Duck a l’orange can rhyme with melange.
    But, I have a friend who always pronounces orange as ‘o-ran-gee’ as in orangutan.

    @Linux0s

    That is right up there with Azure Arachnids, Cobalt Curlews, Tangerine Tapirs and
    Puce Pachyderms.

    And some try to rhyme people with purple, but silver is a real stumper.

    Mauve Muskrats?
    Crimson Cougars?(that could be a sports team … for all I know … it probably is!)

    That’s assonance – also known as “getting the rhyme wrong” (Educating Rita).

    It is very advanced stuff.

    They’re alliterations, not rhymes. Orange orangutan, silver seal, purple parrot.

    An echidna is a spiny monotreme. If you ever want to insult a guinea pig or a brother-in-law, say something like, “Danders, you spiny monotreme!”

    I went to Cherry Hill (NJ) High School East (Class of ’71). The school color was crimson, the school mascot, the cougar.
