    The best story choice for this crowd would probably be something along the lines of: “Once upon a time, Cinderella met a prince. They lived happily ever after.” If they’re really squirrelly, then skip the first sentence.

    I had to read to 4 year olds once as part of ‘reading week’… but I let them pick the book and do the sound effects.

    I read to 4-year olds every week at out nursery school. They can be easily distracted. Mr. Otterloop can do better by getting down on the floor with them. And keep it short!
