Richard Thompson's Cul de Sac, is a comic strip about the life of a pre-school girl named Alice Otterloop. It is a light-hearted comic strip centered around a four-year old girl and her suburban life experiences on a cul-de-sac with her friends Beni and Dill, older brother Petey and her classmates at Blisshaven Academy pre-school. Alice describes her father's car as a "Honda-Tonka Cuisinart" and talks to the class guinea pig, Mr. Danders. She has the typical older brother who plays jokes on her, and she contemplates ways to keep the scary clown from jumping out of the jack-in-the-box with friends.

They are destined to be together.

Unlikely. Too many other things can and will happen. But it is nice to think so in that romantic kind of way.

Dill has an uncanny knack for Vision. I believe they will end up together (if Alice doesn’t grab all his toys).

@Sisyphos
She probably will and not allow him to buy any new toys.

Unlikely but definitely possible. My parents-in-law met when she was 2 and he was 4 or so. They apparently didn’t hit it off at the first meeting, but worked things out when they met as young adults. :)

Cul de Sac. Best of the best. Makes my soul smile.

I think Dill is the genuine article, but young love can be fickle. When I was in kindergarten, I accumulated a boy friend. One day the showed up on my doorstep, and we played with my toy typewriter (you had to turn a wheel to get to each letter). However, when first grade started, I ran up to greet him, and he wouldn’t pay me no never mind. Learned about life early.

I agree. No greater compliment.

To those who haven’t discovered it yet, “Heavenly Nostrils” is the new soul-smiling strip.

@Saskfan my husband and I met when I was about 6 and he was 5 at a Croatian festival. The next time I saw him was when he tried to run me down when I was crossing the street (I did have the right of way. If he was doing the speed limit, I would have been across before he got to me.). We were finally introduced a couple of years after that and we’ve been comfortably married for almost 32 years.

I don’t know – I don’t think Alice will ever learn that skill.

@ Waitingman – I’ve checked out “Heavenly Nostrils” and, I’m sorry, but it doesn’t even come close to replacing “Cul de Sac”.
