Richard Thompson's Cul de Sac, is a comic strip about the life of a pre-school girl named Alice Otterloop. It is a light-hearted comic strip centered around a four-year old girl and her suburban life experiences on a cul-de-sac with her friends Beni and Dill, older brother Petey and her classmates at Blisshaven Academy pre-school. Alice describes her father's car as a "Honda-Tonka Cuisinart" and talks to the class guinea pig, Mr. Danders. She has the typical older brother who plays jokes on her, and she contemplates ways to keep the scary clown from jumping out of the jack-in-the-box with friends.

I wish I’d thought of something like that.

Utterly ridiculous and unbelievable!
Seriously, in this day and age who still uses clipboards to take notes when they’re spying?!!!

Mirrors have all been placed here by anthropologists from another dimension. Yes, they CAN see everything that appears in front of them. Vampires know this.

Petey was right, you know….

Doesn’t everyone check for two-way mirrors when they enter a motel or strange room? Done it for decades.

@artybee
Do you have one of those prisms that allows you to reverse the reflection index to see through it to the other side?

There is an ancient story about mirrors and why they reflect. In the dim past they were portals to another fabulous world. Everything in each world was fantastically different from the other. Denizens use to move freely between the worlds until one day the population of the mirrors came through in a hoard to do one thing, slaughter and make war for conquest. Needless to say humanity was losing until one Chinese sorcerer managed to use his powers to stop the war, imprison the creatures and forced them to copy whatever is on the other side. The spell has held for thousands of years only…

One day the spell will weaken and fail. Some say it will be a faint glowing line at first in a mirror, then subtly the shapes start changing and moving on their own. Others say the clash of weapons will be heard before the attack begins anew. Be sure to watch your reflection for one day it may not be what you are use to. And who says they can’t watch us? Petey has a suspicion of it doesn’t he?

When my daughter was 2 years old, her crib was across from a dresser mirror. One night when she had stopped her usual campaign to stay up later, and had grown suspiciously quiet, we peeked in to see her doing exactly as Alice is doing. You could almost hear her thinking, “Yep, that face right there… that’s the one that will get them!”
(She’s a “Leo-Monkey”, natural drama queen.)

I hope you didn’t get sent to your room for that, Petey.

This seems far more proactive than Petey’s norm. He was a regular rabble rouser.

Well if there weren’t then how did we get these pictures of you, Alice? Love the look in panel 6.

@Night-Gaunt49
Now I won’t be able to sleep at night! This is obviously historical fact, and we have mirrored wardrobes in the bedroom.
For the first time ever, I’m wishing we kept guns in the house!
If I never post again, AVENGE ME!!!
