Richard Thompson's Cul de Sac, is a comic strip about the life of a pre-school girl named Alice Otterloop. It is a light-hearted comic strip centered around a four-year old girl and her suburban life experiences on a cul-de-sac with her friends Beni and Dill, older brother Petey and her classmates at Blisshaven Academy pre-school. Alice describes her father's car as a "Honda-Tonka Cuisinart" and talks to the class guinea pig, Mr. Danders. She has the typical older brother who plays jokes on her, and she contemplates ways to keep the scary clown from jumping out of the jack-in-the-box with friends.

Jan and Dean are rolling in their graves, if they’re dead, that is.

Shika Curve? Not familiar with that one. I don’t suppose a song was written about it.

Hey Marg, you are making me go to Google to find out who the hey Jan and Dean are. Who says that comics are not educational?

Is that a reference to shikamoo, by any chance? Otherwise, I’m lost also.
turtleman: You must be very, very young. I think I hate you, sort of……LOL
Munodi said, 3 months ago
Google was no help in explaining “Shika Curve.” “Shika” appears to be a word in some foreign langauge and possibly a name. Please explain.

I wouldn’t hate him. I certainly have no regrets about how old I am, I know Jan & Dean’s music and I’m glad I know it - and all the other great music of the 60’s. As far as I’m concerned, it’s his loss. Shame on his parent’s for not exposing him to what they grew up with - as my parents did with me.

I say Dill should sue. As much and as often as possible.

Jan and Dean? Hey, I remember surf music! I grew up next to the surf.
I don’t remember much after that…..

Greetings, I come from the future. You may be happy to know that Jan & Dean are lauded as musical gods in our times … as is the solo work of Richie Sambora.

I agree with Terry Lonewolf… Dill has been great all week !
Gosh Jan and Dean… haven’t thought about them in years…

Greetings, I really come from the future. You may be happy to know that Jan & Dean are unheard of and so is Richie Sambora solo work or not.

When Dill’s hair doesn’t connect to his head, as in today’s strip, it freaks me out.
He looks like a radioactive Mr. Magoo…
icomefromthefuture said, 3 months ago
Greetings.
So you “really come from the future”?? Not quite. The word “really” is banned in 2017 by the Conquering Chinese and airbrushed out of all correspondence. You could not know to use the word “really” because it has no meaning in the future.
Or maybe you’re lying.
ireallycomefromthefu... said, 3 months ago
oh yeah well it seems you used the word really several times in that paragraph and also the word god has been banned as mao se tung’s idea of religion is poison has been put in place
icomefromthefuture said, 3 months ago
That is so typical of what someone pretending to be from the future would say.

Greetings, Maaaannnnnn, I come from the past!
I’t’s really cool back in the past!
One gets to meet such luminaries as Jan & Dean, The Beach Boys, and other such well known Surfer type dudes when they were well known, before they took the Big Dump!
bald 716 said, 3 months ago
the past was really great, old hippie juice ( boones farm apple wine) was $1.99 a bottle and a nickle bag was a good deal

Hello ushini You are familar with Shikamoo? You’ll have to wonder what a Shika Curve is, I’m afraid. LOL But the comic strip says it all.
Doc Which dozen are you refering to?
I love the arms waving every which way! LOL
