Richard Thompson's Cul de Sac, is a comic strip about the life of a pre-school girl named Alice Otterloop. It is a light-hearted comic strip centered around a four-year old girl and her suburban life experiences on a cul-de-sac with her friends Beni and Dill, older brother Petey and her classmates at Blisshaven Academy pre-school. Alice describes her father's car as a "Honda-Tonka Cuisinart" and talks to the class guinea pig, Mr. Danders. She has the typical older brother who plays jokes on her, and she contemplates ways to keep the scary clown from jumping out of the jack-in-the-box with friends.

That is one scary dream, perhaps too close to the truth in some cases.

I don’t scrapbook, but I have very over-photographed children and am on my fifth jumbo photo album in three years, AFTER paring down the pictures. I suspect my children will come to curse the advent of digital photography - where I used to only be able to snap one picture, I can now take 30 at no extra cost until it comes time to print them!

Thanx to whoever first mentioned how much they love cul-de-sac, and to all the other people who agreed. I’ve been reading it the last few days, and I agree too. But Stone Soup is still my favourite - maybe because I’m also female, and pretty feminist (caution, this is a dangerous word - don’t assume that what I mean by it is what you mean by it - as Humpty Dumpty said, “A word means what I say it means, no more and no less.” End of parenthesis!)
It’s on gocomics.com. Maybe elsewhere too.

Amazing capture of body language. If you just read the text you’d think she was being sarcastic. Brilliance.
