One of my cats got nailed by an owl. She didn’t come home at dusk like she usually did/. Early in the morning I woke for some reason adn went to the back door. Here she was. she’d been hurt by something. One puncture on one side and a massive bruise on the other. Talon? She survived, but required survery

Nab, you’re lucky she came home. I once had the sweetest cat when we lived on a dairy farm in VT. She just didn’t come home one day, never to be seen again. I then noticed a white barn owl in a tree by our back door. It stayed around for days after, I suppose hoping for another meal.

Cuddles cockatoo was swooped once by a hawk as she sat on my chair in the garden while I was reading. I swatted at it to chase it off – my baby was not prey for a hawk (but it was totally capable of carrying her off).

I’m so sorry for you. That is distressing. I have outside cats and owls & eagles/hawks are a worry.
