    You boil that down to
    You were right
    I was wrong
    It’ll never happen again.

In reference to October 6th’s comments about Mrs. Cleaver, Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. Jones; Mrs. Cleaver was also called June by her husband and Mom by the boys; she was a regular character on the series. Eddie would of course call her Mrs. Cleaver since that was the proper thing to do for his age group in regards to elders other than his parents, even though he was a jerk. The same goes for Mrs. Robinson and it was a movie. No continuation there. Mrs. Jones was just a song. If it was real life, the person involved with her would not reveal her first name in order to keep the affair a secret. Mrs. Jones may not have been her real surname either. Another secret.
In Mrs. Amasawa’s case, after a while, other adults would call her by her first name as they get to know her. Children will would of course, still call her Mrs. Amasawa for the same reasons as stated above.

    Dear cbrsarah

Thanks for your rambling and barely coherent kind and thoughtful dialectic about Rotifer’s comments on the Mrs. of Mrs. Amasawa. I guess I let him expose himself* to too much popular culture when he was an adolescent.

    * à la the former mayor of Portland, Oregon.

Please feel free to over-analyze my son’s avatar, too.

    Sincerely,

    Rotifer’s Mother

P.S. You know I’m just playing along, right? That nice Mr. Owens’ small but loyal cadre of followers is not large enough to enjoy the luxury of infighting (except for that brazen hippie hussy shytimes2 – dreams of her forbidden fruit keep my poor Rotty awake all night sometimes)
