How do you react when you're cornered? Talk your way out, prepare for battle or insist you're just fine and dandy? Mike Baldwin's "Cornered" characters reflect the full spectrum of these reactions - all the while doing their very best to be taken seriously. From dark to light to blindingly brilliant, the results delight, amuse or even confuse - but it's well worth the risk. No one's ever lost an eye reading "Cornered" (aside from one reader who got WAAAY too close - you know who you are). In the end it's discovering the inconvenient truth of being "Cornered" that sets you free.

Too bad that’s only about two days pay for an average CEO. Although there are CEO’s who make that much in a couple of hours.

We always complain about the corporate executives and their salaries, but if we were offered that position with those salaries and benefits would any of us really turn it down?

@Teflonknight
But that’s the problem.
Everybody looks at the benefits, but they ignore the responsibility.
Often it seems that they BLATANTLY ignore the responsibility. Mostly because the Boards don’t hold them responsible.
“You lost a hundred billion dollars? You’re fired. Yes you still get your severance package. Plus your Retention Bonus.”
Nope. I don’t need the ulcer, stroke, and heart attack.
