At least when the phone rings while I’m listening to my favourite MP3 tracks, it does put the player on hold until after the call.

I actually used to play an MMO on my phone where that was the biggest complaint in groups… they got a phone call. LOL!!
The simple answer is to put it in airplane mode (no calls/texts) and turn on the Wi-Fi if you need online content. ;-)
