I would love it if Gina would fall victim to the true text book fool’s mate. That would defate her ego a bit.

However, if you look at my comment from yesterday, it would seem that Gina may win not because of true chess playing ability but by pure intimidation.At least Nate seems to be intimidated.

Mmmmmmm. It’s not like Nate doesn’t know the territory (see realist666 comment above)……it would be “just like him” to be bluffing her with the “chicken” thing……I’m thinking that he knows he can feed her THAT off a spoon, and while she’s gobbling it down whole, she misses a great move he’s slowly planning to sink her!

She’s actually quite pretty and her personality isn’t irritating. Gina is a very likeable character. The female character who is unlikeable in this strip is Jenny.
