Although the Sunday strip is independent of the daily strip, whether by conicidence or by design, today’s strip could logically follow yesterday’s.

@Stevero: You beat me to it. I believe today’s strip is a direct continuation from Sunday’s strip. How else could it be logical? A first!

Today’s is a continuation from Saturday.

It isn’t like her to make such a dumb comment…it’s more in Slim’s line.

Has Clovia had a stroke or something? Since when was she such an idiot?

My ex-wife had the same philosophy that Clovia has. Until I got tired of working two full-time jobs and 90-plus hours a week for years at a time. She found out the truth of home economics after the divorce.

Too bad Slim gave it to the church. It’s would have been a nice down payment on a new Montezooba Triple Super 8 car.

Maybe Clovia is just kidding. He’s more likely to be the one who is saying, “I gave unto Caeser.” Looking back at Friday’s strip, she has the right attitude of faith in giving.

Read what they said, and don’t interpret meanings. He said: “We don’t have much left in the ol’ checkBOOK.” She replied “There are several pages of blank checks” – in the checkBOOK. If he had said “We don’t have much left in the ol’ checking ACCOUNT,” then her reply about the blank checks would be idiotic, but since he said the checkBOOK, her statement is entirely accurate.
