Its a pity they don’t have kids – sounds like she’d have the job nailed. The other good response is ‘Bored? Excellent, it gives you a chance to develop your imagination’. (Caveat – may be inadvisable if applied to a Calvin)

ARE YOU JOKING OR ARE YOU REALLY THAT STUPID AS TO BE BORED WHEN YOU KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS YOU COULD BE DOING. YOU ARE JUST LAZY.

I too have a long project list…some fun some not so much

…note to self; never tell anyone you’re bored when they are standing over a sink wearing gloves working hard cleaning up!

I’m bored, I volunteer, get the picture?

I used to have middle school students who would say “I’m boring.” Their English skills didn’t seem to include “I’m bored.” or “This work is boring.” I didn’t take it personally, but just reminded them of the due date or told them that was a personal problem.
