I remember when little Rudy Huxtable tried that tactic on Clair, when she wanted to wear her summer dress to a party in the chill of the fall and snuck and put it on, even after Clair said no… “But mommy, you’re making me feel bad!”… Clair: “Oh, you’re going to feel much worse, if you don’t do like I asked you, and please don’t think of defying me, ever again! Is that clear?” If there’s one thing Clair would not stand for, is any challenge to her parental authority, or any "kid manipulation tactic’, and would communicate this in such a strong, yet surprisingly calm manner, that you knew you were getting yelled at, without her even breaking a sweat!…..
