What a horrible way to live! You take a road trip with your friends and it’s like you’re a child with no knowledge of the dangers of the world. No wonder so many of our elders fear going into a “home.” I’m not saying that incompetent or very ill individuals should be able to leave at will, but Evelyn has a car and a driver’s license and she had three companions who were all (somewhat) rational. They should be able to sign a waiver (for insurance purposes), sign out (so no one expects them to be on the premises) and go where they please.

If I was in a place like elderpark, I’d runaway too. Just because you live in a seniors only community, you should be able to do what you want like you did when you lived in a regular neighborhood. I wouldn’t live in such a place and if someone said I had to I would tell them what they could do with themselves.
