Knute makes an astute comment – he’s not dumb – and he’s Gunther’s buddy. I’ll forget Knute taking the chair outside the classroom – that was a Sunday lemon.

I think Mr. Evans is having some fun with his talkative fans today, toying with (though not really breaking) the Fourth Wall. The characters’ comments could easily have been lifted from this comments-section, while their reactions parody the stereotypes they portray in this daily stage-play.

You want exotic – How about “Crystal Deckard.” It could suggest a mythical child Deckard (Harrison Ford) eventually had with Rachael (Sean Young). Rachael did have Crystal’s class and unique beauty.

Mismatched? Perhaps… but Luann’s correct that they’re alike in some ways – they both yearn to shock and confound people. They’re so happy, they don’t know how miserable they are.

Tiffs head looks like it is oversized for her body, Maaybe just a oversized ego in her case that causes it to be so big. lol

Tiffany needs to mind her own business, just because she doesn’t have anyone special doesn’t mean she needs to mess it up for Crystal.

Can’t tell if they are holding hands in the last panel or if the juxtaposition of their arm positions is just a happy accident.

Ahhh… if you blow it up you can see that Knute’s hand is in his pocket.

…There’s something else I noticed, but I won’t say as I probably would get flagged...which would explain why knute is keeping his hands in his pockets.

Actually, Tiffany and Luann are BOTH right. Tiffany is comparing their looks/clothes styles while Luann is comparing their personalities. Tiffany only sees with her eyes while Luann sees and perceives the whole package.

What I dont understand is why Crystal continues to hang out with Tiffany, she doesnt seem like someone who would be friends with such a pretentious, stuck up priss like Tiffany.

Well the saying goes opposites attract. Personal experience:I was in New York City a few years ago I was sitting in front of FAO Swartz (biggest toy store) and I was just killing time and along come 3 girls with the wildest hair I ever saw. One had bright Blue hair the second one had hot pink hair and the 3rd one had the brightest green haie I ever saw. That green hhair made her look like the Incredible Hulk’s sister. But anyways we started talking and I do have to admit that was the best 45 minutes I had besides my time I had at the central park zoo I ever had. I wish I could have taken a few pics but i ran out of film by that time. Those 3 girls were the best people I met that day.

Crystal Goblet?

I like Knute. He may be my favorite character (although he’s gotten a couple of bad lines/strips lately). I envy his ability to be in the moment, live a happy life and not wallow in teen angst. I also think he and Crystal are a good balance for each other.

Two happy peopleand that’s all that matters.

They are both right. Knute and Crystal have differing interests and images but they have a similar mindset and are okay with being who they are
