They are just talking about the stuff they dare to mention now.All of these planks to the platform are terrible, so what about the ones they Don’t dare mention yet?
Well Said! fellow mechanic. Too many of the working class believe he will actually let some of those billions “trickle down”, something that even GHW Bush called, “Voodoo Economics”.
“Ryan has a plan on the table.”A plan, NEUTRAL experts agree, that doesn’t make mathematical sense. But hey, a plan is a plan, right? Even a nonsensical, pander to the base without explaining how plan, right?
I have never seen an actual study, but I have only met one person that preferred unemployment over working. The highest number of unemployed in this area was during the Reagan years when it hit 25% or more. I say, “or more” because anyone unemployed for more than six months did not want to work and therefore was not counted nor did they get unemployment. Thank goodness President Reagan did give away surplus foods that had been purchased by the Agriculture Department. People lined up around the block to get cheese, powdered milk and eggs, butter, dried potatoes and occasionally fruit juice. There are seasonal workers who are unemployed during the Winter that enjoy the first few weeks of unemployment, but usually find work to supplement the unemployment. At present, I only know of one man who is unemployed (not drawing unemployment) and he is seeking work weekly and working at any odd job he can find. His wife left her homemaker role to work at a motel. The two small children, I believe, do receive healthcare from the government.
Toles hit it on the nose! I have yet to see anything concrete or meaningful from these two gladhanding car salesmen. I neveer listen to rhetoric, but look for real plans in black and white. So far, nothing!
LOL.. Sorry that you thought I was serious, but the trickle down economics has never worked and it never will. Someone made the remark that the last balanced budget was under Eisenhower. I guess they don’t consider having a surplus being balanced so Clinton doesn’t count.

The most frightening aspect is the number of “ordinary citizens” who are willing to buy this pig in a poke.

We’ve got a platform. Our candidate doesn’t agree with it, but we’ve got a platform.

The only trickle down that most of us will ever get will be either yellow or brown in color.
