Yawn… Do you mean screw over all the peace advocates who thought gitmo would close? Or all the soldiers & marines that died because the President sort of put his “eye on” Afghanistan. Or screw over the taxpayers for trillions to save geithner’s wall street buddies…our screw over all of us with outlandish vacations without doing anything to deserve it… Democrats own the term “screw over”!
This ‘toon reminds me of the Republican who took offense at me, basically a Democrat, wearing a flag pin in my lapel. His words, “Then why are you wearing that God D——-d flag?” I informed him that I respected that flag, it wasn’t a God D——d flag and had faced the enemy for that flag and that it didn’t belong to any party. I continued to vote a split ballot until recently when the blatant acts of Grover Norquist and the like made compromise a dirty word..
Which means the Democratic Party is the “Illegitimate Party”! Considering how desperate they are to allow illegal ‘illegitimate’ aliens the same rights as honest citizens, I guess that sounds about right!--If you want fewer illegal aliens, prosecute the businesses that hire them. -Too complex to comprehend?
Justice: I didn’t wear the flag on anything but a uniform until recently, when i got a “flag pin” I do wear. Had the same “commentary” from a “right-winger” on my “attitude” and flag pin. Then I pointed out that while he took the “Mitt route”, my pin is a life membership pin from Disabled American Veterans. My son is also now eligible for membership. NOBODY in his family has ever “served”, in any manner.
It influences my attitude toward “chickenhawks”. In fact, the book by Bob Mason “Chickenhawk”, was like reading my own “history”, except he was a pilot, I was a crew chief.
It also influences my views on “legitimacy” and who is a TRUE patriot, as opposed to “flag waver”.
