I like how this started as several Democratic Mayors telling Chick Fil A to go away (because the owner donated to Christian organizations), and the liberal cartoonists and liberal media have spinned it into the false notion that Chic Fil A discriminated against gay people (which isn’t true at all).

    Doc Toon…

Using your logic, anyone’s sexuality is fine in public, eh? You said it. So, where does it stop? Humans and dogs, sheep, goats, pigs? Have you not noticed there is a natural order to the sexes with a design build to promulgate the continuation of our species? All this talk about how everyone NEEDS to accept whatever sexual choices others make because all of our choices are equal is a very disordered way of thinking. While I , or other people, have no control of other people’s choices as to how they are living out their sexualiy, I DO NOT have to accept it. I’ll be kind and respectful to everyone, but I will never give it a stamp of approval. Equal rights like the 60’s? I’m not black, but if I was, I would be SO offended that the liberals are trying to compare the mistreatment of African Americans with homosexuals. How demeaning to African Americans. Homosexuals are trying to use past mistreatment of others to justify their own BEHAVIOR.

Again, whether some people want to accept it or not, there is order in the whole world (and universe) that makes the world go ’round. Order that began BEFORE we humans came onto the scene. Order that we, in our human pridefulness think we can control. Order that delude ourselves to thinking we can create ourselves! There is also disorder that humans bring about through the choices they make. The ordered design of the world will always outweigh (and thus protect) itself against the disorder, but often times not without horrible victimization of others…extreme examples…genocide, concentration camps, disease, perhaps world-wide nuclear devastation, etc.

When we go down the road of “we can do what we want when we want because we’re human and we’re know best”, we always end up on the wrong highway lane, driving straight into oncoming traffic. Look at human history. When, Doc Toon, will we learn history and not make these same mistakes? We create new ways of making the same old mistakes, and think we don’t have to be responsible.

Nicely said Doc T..@DanReynolds: Humans inflicting themselves on animals is a form of rape which no one should tolerate,.When African Americans admit that the neighbouring tribes sold their ancestors to White Man long ago I will take that arguement seriously. I have mixed race cousins so I’m not being racist..If we cannot accept that other people are different, we should not be allowed out in public.

    Lighten up, Francis.

as far as this quote goes:

“cept when they made a dingus for the hoohaa they knew thats how it worked. they didnt expect everyone to start shoving them up the yin yang first chance they had.”

That behavior is old school, older than mammals. Say, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and some?? marsupials, use the same entry orifice What does that say about that act? In mammals, it is an evolutionary dead end Maybe it is nature’s way of not wanting them to reproduce?

When I as a kid , the statement:

“Humans inflicting themselves on animals is a form of rape which no one should tolerate,” was the same sort of thing that was being said in reference to homosexual acts.

Today, there seems to be (at least in media and liberal circles), a grand acceptance of sexual abnormality. If one follows this sexual acceptance of anything goes to it’s logical conclusion, the notion of humans and animals, which you, now, in these present times, seem to abhor, will be just another cause for future “freedom” fighters.

Again, I do not accept or in anyway condone, this disordered behavior, but for my part, I believe we all are children of God. All need prayers. Mother Teresa said, “When we judge, we have no room for loving.” In keeping with that, it is not judging to point out when people are doing something wrong (disordered). We should not to judge hypocritically. This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope—and with the ultimate goal—of bringing repentance in the other person and restoration to the fellowship.

The old saying here or “hate the sin, but love the sinner” is a best way to go. If “hating the sin” is heard by the “sinner” as a person hating THEM (when this is not the case), there is little anyone can do to convince another of one’s intention. Ultimately, this is why God is the only real and best judge of all of us.

To answer my own question, after looking at other posts by DanReynolds, I surmise that he is the creator of Reynolds Unwrapped. It was one of my favorite comics. I was disappointed when Dan pulled it from GoComics. It seemed an odd thing to do, and reading his farewell message, I thought maybe he was suffering from a brain tumor or something. Now I see that he is just a schmuck. What a waste of talent . . .

REALLY??!! A limp wrist…hand on the hip? Ha! Ha! (Stop my sides hurt it’s sooo gosh darned funny…) Thank you, Mr. Hilburn, for perpetuating a harmful stereotype. Maybe in your next cartoon you could perpetuate some sexist and racial stereotypes too! Yay! That would be fun! And for any readers who equate a loving relationship to bestiality or pedophilia…SHAME on you…you know this is wrong and are tired, old arguments used for millennia against many people.

    @wuz

I did tell you what I really think. If you read my original post and then read the following posts referring to my posts, it’s interesting to see how responders morphed/added/or deletedelements of my text and then added their response.I think 2catsintheyard drew out the essence of my post. The other posters making reference that I said everyone should be Christian or whatever is not what I said in my post.We live in this world which is surely just pitstop in eternity. Too many people, in their own finite wisdom, have totally adopted the world’s (read “pitstop”) view of existence and live accordingly. One of my favorite quotes is “I would rather live my life believing in God only to die to find out there is no God, than to live my life as if their were no God, only to find out there is one.”

There have been studies about overpopulation – that is when homosexuality seems to increase. This also happens after a war, where there are few men, like Germany after WWII. Even the Catholic church suggested that women move in together to be company and “help each other”.I do believe it is nature’s way of letting off steam and also to slow down population growth. Whether or not that 10% claim is correct now or in low population times, is a point of contention. Fine, do what you want, but not right under my nose.

If there is a God and if there is design in the universe, then truth is a firm and definite concept that does not change with perspective and there are limits to what should be accepted.

If we are all just more highly evolved animals whose origins can be traced to some accidental combination of eternally pre-existent matter, then “truth” is relative and there is no basis for limits on behavior except what society imposes at a given time.

If we are all just primordial goo, then why shouldn’t we all do whatever feels good at the moment?

If God has said that homosexuality is an abomination and if He is really real, then homosexualtiy IS an abomination and a choice, not a design. If He isn’t really real or didn’t really say that, then anything that some vocal group wants to call “normal” or “natural” loud enough and often enough will eventually be accepted by society at large as normal or natural.

For my part, I read that God created them, male and female. I see in nature a design. Only the design in nature can result in a continuation of the species. Sexuality outside of this design is aberrant and abhorant behavior.

Oreo supports gays: People hate it. Chick fil A ‘antisupports’ gays: people hate it. Why can’t people make up their minds and just suck it up? Why does it mean that a restaraunt is gay because they cater at a gay rights event or the other way around?
