Still waiting for some Fox ‘News’ viewer to explain the ‘distance’ between Akin and Ryan/Romney.

I am glad this is America and not China. Your statements sound like China’s policies on Families.Hm…. and I wonder what cut you off there at the end; was it your Internet service or the moderators?

As for the ‘toon – I think Morin’s take on it was funnier. But that’s just MHO.

Reading through the comments proves Obama and his minions were successful at distracting the American people from focusing on economics, energy, the deficit etc. So far the concentration has been on the very critical issue of speculation over Romney’s taxes, archaic abortion policy never acted on by the Republicans, and of course blaming Bush for everything since the great flood…

It is the Republicans who’ve made abortion the Issue, by attempting to deny human rights to women, raped, or not. Their (sorry if I keep typing the wrong “their” and not catching it) philosophy isn’t even accurate to the “biblical view” the ultra-right proclaim on almost any issue. The nut cases HAVE taken over the party, and it’s sad, unfortunate, and more than slightly deranged, ignorant, and DANGEROUS!

So an unmarried couple who have lived together for a decade can’t have a kid? I have a coworker with a girlfriend that refuse to get married because both come from divorced families (and feel that a ring is meaningless), but have lived together for 6 years.

Abortion should be between a woman, her partner, and her doctor. No one else. Keep it legal, but try to keep all available options open. Of course, if there’s a possibility of complications that could kill the woman, her life his FAR more important than that of a fetus (go ahead, ask ANYONE who they’d rather have, their partner or someone that isn’t even technically alive yet. Even the most staunch Republicans I know would elect to abort the pregnancy to save their wife).

THis is an important piece of the platform that was signed just last week. If the other GOP politicians who are wanting him to resign, it is not because they don’t agree. They all want to end every abortion, no matter how it started and no matter about the life of the motherSince the GOP has adopted the “my way or the highway” stance it is imposible to even TALK about other solutions.

What dtroutma said is so true, also true is people from both sides say bad things about bad spelling. I have residual dyslexia, and it isn’t important if

someone makes a mistake, as long as it is readable I am having a very bad spelling day, and BOTH sides make too big a deal out of it..

“An abortion is the woman’s choice. The father has no say in the matter.”He had his say when he decided not to wear a condom.

Ima: that “father” might have others words as well, like: “Pull those pants down and submit to rape, or I’ll shoot you.”
