You’ve really got to wonder. When even other Republicans are horrified by his comments, we can always rely on our little band of trolls (both male and female) to defendthis kind of statement because “He’s a Republican and we are NEVER wrong.”

It’s always a shock to hear such things from supposedly educated people — although it shouldn’t be at my age. In school 40 years ago, a professor advised our class, “Girls, if you’re ever raped, just relax and enjoy it. It will hurt less that way.” There was complete silence for about fifteen seconds. Then one brave young woman called out, “And as for yourself, Dr. M., if you ever go to prison and get raped, just relax and enjoy it.”
