Ow! Punch the shark! While surfing off Oahu, Hawaii, on April 3, 2012, 28-year-old Joshua Holley was bitten by a shark, but escaped by punching it until it swam off! When a vizer fell out of favor with the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, he would have the mandatory death sentence commuted if he could beat the executioner in a race to the gates of the palace complex! Chuck Engle of Coos Bay, Ore., USA- has won 145 marathons since he began running them in 2000, including winning at least one marathon in each of the 50 states!

I heard about the guy who punched the shark away before, he punched it right in the gills so that it became winded enough that it had to release him and swim away in order to breathe.
