well, calvin, when you become rich and jet set, you can start you xmas early and travel to australia, then jet over to europe, and jet over to nyc, and jet over to hawaii. that way you would have multiple xmases. got to love time zones.

@Thirdguy: Blackwolff9 is correct. Snoopy climbed into Charlie Brown’s stocking. This Christmas strip is from 1955, and Snoopy dolls weren’t invented until 1958:Back in 1950 when Peanuts began, Snoopy seemed to live at Shermy’s house. But by 1955, Snoopy was living at Charlie Brown’s house. For example, Charlie Brown would be frustrated when Snoopy would insist on having his supper served in front of the TV set.

I hope Santa never brings him a new Buzz Lightyear.

A very Merry CHRISTmas to all!

As a child, wI asked my mom how Santa could possibly deliver so many presents in one night, she said there were only about 2 or 3 children in the world who had been good all year, so the trip was easy. Sounds like something Calvin’s dad would say.

Calvin may be a shrimp, but he’s the biggest sucker I ever saw.

Hey, Snoopster (Denver Broncos) — I was wondering whether you were still around. I posted some extra strips yesterday. Have a good Christmas, and I hope you get a stuffed Hobbes in your stocking. (Oh, wait…….. never mind……… They don’t make stuffed Hobbeses.) Anyway, have a good new year, and be careful riding your bike — don’t break any more bones in 2013.

@Tacopielvr: You are thinking of Peppermint Patty, from the later years of the strip, who was sometimes referred to as just “Patty.” But the girl in the strip from 1955 was also named Patty. She and Violet were the two original girls in the strip, along with Shermy, Charlie Brown, and Snoopy — a total of only five characters in 1950. Patty and Violet became more nasty toward Charlie Brown, especially in the 1960s, and eventually they disappeared from the strip.
