Some things don’t need the thought people give them, but this only applies to some things. Other things desperately need the thought people don’t give them. Discerning which things should fall into which of these two categories requires thought, and wisdom.

So think about this one paraphrasing Genesis 18:27 – We are but dust and ashes.

When something medically goes wrong “down there”, you find yourself giving an awful lot of thought about it…that can take over your life!

Some men do too!

When this strip was drawn, the pocket cell phone had not yet been made. Butt muscles were there all along, just waiting to dial.

I like Hobbes look of bored indifference to Calvin’s musings in the third panel.

I wish I had a tail like Hobbes.

Horse tails are pretty amazing too. But, on the whole, I’d rather have the extra brainpower to think smart thoughts than to wiggle a tail.

I saw a belly dancer every bit as good as Hobbes.

As an aspiring ballet diva, I happen to give butt muscles more than their share of thought.

Cats express their emotions through their tails. If its really thrashing about, the cat is upset or in pain. If they’re lying down and the tip of the tail is gently noodling back and forth, they’re meditating – your best guess about what they are thinking about. They are certainly NOT going to tell one of us, BTW…

I like to think of it as just another of the Universe’s great miracles, and leave it at that. Cats are marvelous creatures any way you look at them, the larger cats just more so.

But don’t we all want ‘buns of steel’?

I thought a muggle was someone with no magical background.

Generally speaking, “muggle” is used by members of a group to describe those outside the group, comparable to “civilian” as used by military personnel.
