Nothing could be worse than being in a van with your whole family and stuck in a traffic jam if you are neurotic and perhaps prone to anxiety attacks, such as might manifest in your chewing your arm off….

One of my daughters couldn’t stand to hear my husband and me argue while in the car, or even say something she considered banal. She’d stick her fingers in her ears. We’d have really jolly road trips.
