Petey’s big memory is being trapped in the car by a clam.

Early memories of what happened at age three are sketchy. It’s no surprise Alice only recalls the fascinating lamp and not the more mundane, everyday stuff….

The only thing my almost-four-year old granddaughter remembered about Florida and its beaches was the ice machine at the motel.

When I was a kid, my favorite part of Daytona Beach were the arcades full of old nickle-a-play pinball machines. They’re all gone now …

This shows why parents and their kids always have different memories of the same experience!

Ha! Me too. I was 14 and almost got whiplash looking at all the girls. Of course, at 14, I also felt completely out of league of those older high school and college girls.

What isn’t there to like about the beach and the ocean, unless of course, it’s a dirty beach.

Boy, if a lightbulb over the head in a toon is and idea, a whole lamp means this kid is working the brain cells!

My family has been going to the beach annually since before I was born. My two earliest memories of these trips are:1. A gigantic puddle in the beach parking lot.2. Playing “wedding” with my sister in the hotel.

I live near Daytona Beach now, but my memories of the beach are from Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Cold Water, The Merry-Go-Round, Skee-Ball, The Pier was long. Aah tha clam rolls & lobstha rolls….is the pier still there?

Ah, this makes sense actually. Most people who went places on vacation at a young age have very few memories of that place, and the ones they do have are often of trivial things like a lamp. I, for example remember a bed with sea animals on it, and a lil bookshelf next to it. I also remember my parents packing up to move to the next place on our vacation. I came outside and saw them.

Congrats if you read this far.
