I’d be curious how many Tweens read the strip. Most of the regular commentary seems to come from a more seasoned crowd.

Wasn’t this elusive young readership a goal of the Kilian years? Did anything (anyone) take?

Themesong is doing The Tracy! Love it! For the moment, Honeymoon is actually acting her age rather than trying to be a grown-up detective! I don’t know the history of Phishface, but he certainly doesn’t look like an angel….

When Pruneface hid in Tess` mom flat, he forgot his partner Pat! Sam became Dick’s partner in 1949, Pruneface was caught in 1943. Or is Themesong referring to the post-Gould Pruneface stories?

Themesong grew up nicely and Astor sure looks like Astroboy! More great stuff. I wonder if Honey will see a news report about her Mom in the next few days.

Well judging from yesterday’s strip, you’d have thought PHISHFACE was a product of the Toblerone Choclate Factory (?)-And following bronzy STILLETA you might have thought a new HUE was in vogue (?) But today’s final panel colored by the Team - seems to contradict that.-And who is ASTOR (?) A new member of the Crimestoppers Club ?

Seems our new Villain PHISHFACE has the same weakness as Locher’s SNAILS (see Archives) - he really LIKES his favorite food - SUSHI !As I recall, in the end that’s how they located and captured Snails, eating his favorite dish (Snails) - in a restaurant.

I love this strip!A tween pop star, Honeymoon, her friend Astor, cosplay, Shemp Howard(!) AND a great new villain!All that in the same week we got Vista Bill and Vitamin Flintheart (and his B-western film role), and a murder mystery!AND another amazing bit of history in Tracy’s Hall of Fame (really enjoy them)!Plus Joe, Shelley and Shane’s great art—Sigh. You realize, the rest of Sunday is going to be downhill from here.

A person just has to wonder what “first time DT readers” are thinking.

I made an account just to say how tickled I am to see a character as random as Themesong used again. She was in one of the first reprints I got as a kid.

Has Honeymoon worn that “Moon Unit One” Tee before? Is she into Zappa as well?

Number 36.. vista bill, very ingenious of you to blackout the power where i am preventing me from getting on earlier! lol! is this themesong the same one from years ago? and i LOVE astor, he’s pretty cool… at first i thought it was joe revamped, but glad to see its not. BTW WE HAVENT SEEN JOE TRACY SINCE CHRISTMAS!!!! syd, get over the coloring obsession already,phishface looks totally different today than he did yesterday.. mustache is different, glasses look different, his whole posture looks different… whats tracy and the MCU gonna say when they hear the name phishface?? are they gonna confuse him with the OTHER guy of similar title.. FISHFACE? gulliverarkham, “moon maid” will appear sporadically mike said, and at ELAST thru early next year so not to worry youll get your fill, chris robinson.. i dotn see any sort of connection… themesong looks totally different than the silhouetted “moon maid” that appeared.. if anything she looks more like JEM than anyone. hopefully aster will stick around for a while!

Perhaps it doesn’t mean anything, but remember that Honeymoon is a big fan of sushi. She asked for sushi after being rescued by her grandfather (Tracy) from the back of that van, a few adventures ago. Will she get mixed up with this Phishface, somehow? I also wonder what Phishface’s game is – perhaps he is into identity theft. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful triple play – he works at the aquarium, he looks like a catfish, and he “phishes” the internet. (Not to mention his taste in food.) Very clever, Mike and Joe!

Interesting to use the old “mouth as a hat” reference. But he is not anywhere close to being dressed as a priest.

It seems to be a common assumption, but do we actually know that Phishface is a villain? Granted, he looks the type (and I don’t know how that comment could possibly offend anybody), but then B.O. Plenty and Bogart Da Roach look suspicious, too. And doesn’t Phishface seem awfully calm for someone who just committed murder? Almost oblivious.

Oh wow!!! I just recieved my Dick tracy Collecter’s Volume 10, and it has Themesong in it! Is Christmas Early still with her?

And is that a wrist boom-box?

Another impossible angle! * No way that First Panel is possible!*No one person could ever get his hands that way, (to take a wrist photo).Try It. Put your left hand in front of you. Now try to position your right hand coming in from above so you can see the top of your right hand. Not Possible.Only way that this can be done is if Tracy has a partner reach out a touch his inner wrist.Guess that’s called DOING THE TRACY.
