Citing privacy concerns, Mitt Romney refuses to release his long-form tax returns. (Man: It's beneath me! And it's racist. As a white man, they're stereotyping me as a rich, tax cheat.) Vague conspiracy theories inspire the "Tax former" movement. (Man 2: He hid his billions in Kenyan tax shelters.) (Woman: He sent our jobs over to Indonesia.) The more Romney stonewalls, the more people think he's hiding something terrible. But every demand he caves into leads to more embarrassing questions.(Man 3: This is just your wife's horse club bill.) (Man 4: Now I suppose you want my baby seal helicopter hunting receipts too!

It didn’t take years for Obama to find his long-form birth certificate, it took years for the state of Hawai’i to find it and release it.

I wonder why the Big “O” hasn’t been asked for any of his information pertinant records? Like his college records/diploma, et. al.?OOPS!, Can’t ask questions of the blessed One. Could provide even more embarrassment.

I always thought it was amazing that no one harrassed John McCaine about being born in Panama. Of course, his middle name isn’t “Fidel” and he’s not very … well … brown.

"Deflection, deflection, deflection………..It’s deflection when the Democrats are demanding the evidence, such as with Romney’s tax returns and Bush’s national guard service, but it’s a bona fide conspiracy when it’s the Republicans such as with Obama’s birth certificates and school transcripts.

if there’s nothing to hide, why NOT release tax records…as forcollege records…quite often a “C” student has more on the ball than a dean’s list student.

lol . . . @fredgold is correct! What’s the matter, @rightisright, Frank Luntz hasn’t delivered the Daily Party Doctrine yet today?
ennui_rudy almost 12 years ago
Will @rightisright please release his college transcripts for us to peruse? When he does, we, too, may jump upon that banal bandwagon being spewed by the Kock bros. hate machine.

I am more concerned about what Obama is doing with the tax payer’s money than what Romney does with his. If Romney paid no taxes, he would join the 47% or so of tax filers who doen’t either.

You want my vote? I want to see those tax returns so I know who I am voting for. Are you a tax cheat? did you get out of paying your fair share? Are there special loopholes just for you and your rich friends you don’;t want me to know about? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW! SO SHOW US OR GET THE HECK OUT OF THE WAY AND NOMINATE SOMEONE WHO ISN’T AFRAID TO REVEAL HIS TAX RETURNS.

This whole debate borders on the hilariously comic!.Hasn’t anybody else heard Mitt and Ann Romney (both) declare in public (paraphrased): “The tax forms won’t be released because we don’t want to give Obama any more ammunition to attack us!” (?).So…..?.They contain information that would leave Mitt vulnerable..This ain’t the same as pleading the Fifth Amendment, Folks. It’s more like “withholding evidence.”.|:-D

“Anyone that complains about Mitt’s releasing his taxes should post their 1040’s online.”I guess you can’t seem to understand this. Every Senator, every judge, everyone in the intelligence or upper echelon military, every high-ranking executive branch official, every cabinet appointee – submits their tax returns.McCain, Obama, Santorem, Ron Paul, even Sarah Palin did so.
joe vignone almost 12 years ago
Wrong, I might write in Hilary Clinton. I might vote for Ron Paul if he were nominated. i am not all that thrilled with O, but I don’t see an alternative. Chatsworth Osburne Jr. certainly is hiding something. His wife even said " We have given you all you people need to know". What stunning hubris!

Unbelievable! People are still responding to I’m a Troll as if they think it might mean something to it..It’s an exercise in futility. Ignore it – maybe it will go away.

“President Romney”? Jumping the gun a bit, aren’t you?
derlehrer almost 12 years ago
“@lookinside
On this site you often get removed along with the person you are complaining about. Be careful, one of our current trolls managed to get some very nice and reasonable people off the site by baiting them and then reporting them when they lost their temper and responded in such a way."-———————————————————————————————Thanks for the warning..That is the main reason I will not respond to an obvious troll – it is a waste of time..I will give some suspected trolls an opportunity to offer reasoned and reasonable responses; but once they prove themselves to be in the former category – basta! No more feeding..Read my avatar.
