Smart Ants ! I’ve noticed here that when it gets above 90 degrees that the red ants tend to all go underground and leave no one out milling around the entrance. After the tempreture drops below 90 they come back out again.

The problem is it’s a power mower. A REAL grass mower…the kind you furnish the power for, by pushing…? has made more kids strong than anything except bicycles. Sigh. Poor kids…must wear helmets, mommy dearest drives them to school, and they must have their own hypnotism machines(electronics) and phones. And nothing really to say, either.

One thing for sure…you can tell who is a good student within a minute.

Growing up I pushed a cast aluminum mower over 3/4 acres, and push a sheet metal mower over an acre today, In all fairness to kids, I have seen adults have monster mower tractors to mow less than a quarter acre. Some look like they could use the exercise.

Reminds me f the story of a kid starting college and wanting a car. He promised his parents he’d read the Bible every day if they’d get him a car. He said he did, but after graduating and still no car, his parents told him to look in the Bible. The money to buy a car was in the Bible the whole time.

I hate mowing my lawn, its nit a matter of fitness…usually I`d rather be paddling/fishing or mountain biking. What I hate is that my neighbor thinks I`m lazy because I enjoy bio-diversity ,flowers, weeds etc., and the deer that eat them in my yard. I hate that I am forced to raise and harvest a crop I can`t sell because of city bylaws, then pay to dispose of it…to guess who the same city. Rather let the deer eat it, thanks. I hate that I have to pick up dead animals off my “lawn” because my neighbor values green and pretty enough to put out poison for the rats/cats, and use huge amounts of weed killer on the “weeds”.Brown is beautiful baby….I love summer.
