Gave me quite a few chuckles — and also a few chills – to think that the people of this country had elected him into the presidency.I also seem to recall that he was SHOCKED when he heard that half of the people in the United States were below average. Somehow, I was not impressed by the degree of his intelligence. I’m still trying to figure him out.
many of our seniors are currently moving to Mexico because it has a universal health program available for roughly $600 a year. Mexican gov is currently worried it will crash their economy.
National flower and vegetable provider business recently bought a huge tract of land locally and has built it up like a giant prison with huge mounds of leveled earth and six foot fences around it. Their big selling point was that they were going to use south American laborers, but they’d stay on the "compound, buy all their goods there and not mix with the locals. For this our city council gave them a huge tax break and the mayor said it was nice to have a big business come in since the state prison had moved out. Loss: $20 plus per hour jobs with good benefits and people who frequented local businesses, plus gthe property tax revenues from roughly 50 acres of land. Gain: we’ll have to figure out what the pols and the construction guys got paid because no one else beyond that far away business is likely to gain anything. Did I mention the local government is run by Republicans?
Every major industrial country in the world offers a form of universal health care, all of the highly functional. What they don’t have is insurance companies covered by antitrust law exemptions who have tentacles in every financial entity in the country and contribute massively to one party who keeps giving them more and more exceptions from the law and any legal responsibility for their actions.
Hawaii has a state system that functions quite well for an American Example.
I keep seeing the name ‘BARRY’ poping up in a derogatory manor. Why are you dishing on Senator BARRY Goldwater? He was a 5 term Senator and passed away in May 1998. Why can the dead not Rest In Peace?
