Ted Rall for June 22, 2012

I never saw the slightest implication that Rodney King hated cops or craved revenge. Maybe heaven will be a place where people get to project their own issues on Ted Rall.

I guess Ted Rall’s view of heaven is a place where you can still see weird things to make cartoons about.

This is the first time one of Ted’s cartoons has disappointed me. Is he projecting his own feelings about police brutality? When cops abuse their power, that’s when they become pigs. Please don’t join them Ted.

Pathetic cartoon

I believe that is the point of the cartoon. King’s being forced to behave this way because of the requirement of maintaining reputation.

Sorry, but Rodney also confessed he ran from the cops in a high speed chase, resisted arrest, attacked the deputies, and did so because he knew he was a parole violator and had outstanding warrants for his arrest. THAT, plus the few first moments of the tape showing he DID attack a deputy, only made it to air a couple times, and then disappeared.

Sorry, the cops WERE wrong to continue the assault, but Rodney was definitely NOT the “poor downtrodden guy” the press, on both sides, over the years tried to make him out.

As a Biblical Christian, I can clearly see the satire in the cartoon even though it’s in poor taste.
