Tiffany’s acting is still not convincing. Not to mention that she has flubbed the facts. But the rest of the gang seems surprised at Quill’s rather sudden departure; well, they should be.

Sorry, but I love seeing Tiff get caught with her pants down. What a pathetic liar she is. The one you love to hate. ;)

Folks these ARE cartoon characters drawn by a cartoonist who must stay awake for long periods of time just to come up with something on a daily basis, seven days a week. Forgive the imperfections and get a life.

Tiff has gotten so desperate to one-up Luann it’s just sad now. I do wish she could know what Luann’s (what-turned-out-to-be) “special goodbye” was, though. The fireworks show would be spectacular!

Next scene is the quill’s plane was shot down over the sea of japan and that there were no survivors…

Luann goofed. She should have let Tiff think she had pulled it off and asked her about it tomorrow then told everybody that he had already left when Tiff got the phone call.

What if Quill lied to Luann, blew her off, telling her he was going home, but really hitting up on Tiff???

Eh, Luann is all right. But I can see where Tiff’s future is…and that is where most cheerleaders future is…

I realize one shouldn’t feed the trolls but, that said, obviously you’ve never worked the diplomatic corps.

I think Luann said it that way to see if Tiff would bite and she did, all unintentionally of course..Way to go girl, you kept your cool and while tripping the trap.Would have been great to let the girl go one longer on what the ‘special good bye was going to be,’ but this is only a four panel strip.

Well…asssssooming that Quill could possibly be more dimensional than we thought…we COULD get an illustrated shot of the sleazy way to lose one’s virginity…or at least, sSleazy’s way of interacting and reacting…otherwise Tiff toooooo could become a sympathetic character…love DOES change us…owee, this could develop. Tiff has made an ass of herself once Again….

For all who huffed and puffed and left this “lame strip” — I am reminded of Animal House’s Bluto (John Belushi) who tried to rally the troops with a cry of, "Who’s with me? Let’s go! [runs out, alone; then returns] . Nobody followed. Not exactly the sound of crickets here.

The cups say WW..Ann could show up and be dumber than Tiff.

Going is present tense. Gone is past. Since Quill is ‘flying over Fiji’, he’s still en route, and thus, still going.

The father’s assignment was always temporary and he no doubt knew when it was time to return to Australia. And it is vastly more plausible that Tiffany lied than Quill.

Nooo, she wasn’t setting Tiffany up. No, of course not, would Luann do a thing like THAT?

@Ann: In certain industries, that does indeed happen. Some of my coworkers have been faced with that exact choice.

Perhaps Quill really might have more of an attraction to Tiffany than he thought. I agree that Luan is becoming more lke Tiffany every day.

Question: Did the “gang” all happen to be at the same food table int he same food court, or are they in the school cafeteria taking a break from summer classes? Seems like with their social lives, remedial ed might be in order.

Heh. Nice try, Tiff. I can’t believe some of the levels she will sink to to make Luann feel bad. They have a word for people like her, but it’s not used in polite society outside of a kennel.

My take is that Quill knew he was leaving well in advance, he just didn’t expect his dad to tell him he had to pack RIGHT now.

Let’s see, assuming LuAnn lives on the West Coast, because they remind me of California girls, Los Angeles to Sydney is about 18 hours, so trying to figure out the time to Fiji, which is about the halfway point… Oh nevermind. I went into intellectual mode for a moment. :)

Quill’s leaving reminds me of when Aaron Hill moved to Hawaii! That’s about when I started reading LUANN – LOVE IT! But boy, she sure has trouble keeping a guy around!
