@Dogsniff: How did you get to be the first poster yesterday? I’m jealous. :>)I left you a reply late last night. Well, I started writing it earlier last night, but it was kind of long……

The Hobbeses are very fast writers. They started the story at 8:30, and they finished it by 8:30.

It looks like the paper will be traveling back to 6:30 with the 6:30 Calvin and Hobbes. So the 8:30 Calvin won’t have it yet, until the 6:30 Calvin becomes him. Now there’s a paradox we could all discuss for another week.

If you work crossing the International Date Line right [west to east, I think] you can arrive before you left.

Susan Newman- Since these are republished from 10 or more years ago, I think they are keeping with the date and not the day of the week. (Except the Sunday panels.)

@PeterL: The daily and Sunday strips are all matched to the original day of the week. Today’s Wednesday, June 6th strip was originally published Wednesday, June 3rd, 1992. At the lower right corner of today’s strip you will see 6/6, but it is in a typeface rather than handwritten. The original strip had 6/3 in Bill Watterson’s handwriting, but for today’s rerun, the 6-3 has been erased and replaced with 6-6.

Alas, until I get another access to the strips, I cannot view them, so I may be absent from here a while longer. :(

Calvin should have gone into the future to find out what the classs assignments were for the next two weeks, and then sold the information to his classmates.

Who’s going to support, or castigate, you or any of us largely depends on who’s on the playing field for the day. And partially, on what kind of rep one has as a debater. You pays your money and you takes your chances. Or in a quip I like better, some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you. ;)

Since when does Calvin care if his mom sees him putting his pjs on? First….he’s six….second…she bathes him…or tries. :)
