Decades ago I worked in the now defunct shipyard. A new block was cemented at the head of one of the slipways. The contractor kept complaining about the number of cats that left paw prints in the cement. One evening we cut some cat ear shapes out of black DPC material and stuck them in the cement ready for him to find in the morning so he’d find what looked like the tips of a cat’s ears sticking out of the cement.
