McLuvyah: Continue with your story about the boy you fell in love with, Cobra. Rip: Anybody got some nuprin for the knife in my heart? Dutch: I've gotta scout around for pirate scum, boy! You stand guard here! And maybe talk to the girl - I worry about you! Boy: Gotcha. Dutch: Life's not all dynamite and shrapnel wounds, son. You've got to enjoy the softer side! Boy: Aw geez, pop, can't I at least blow up something? Uncle: If your boy makes a move on my niece, I'll feed him to the sharks! Dutch: That boy eats sharks for brunch! And that girl can hold her own, from the looks of her. Uncle: Now that you mention it, she is kind of a tomboy! Maybe this could be a good thing for everybody!

Man, teen-Cobra looks so darn … fresh and perky. Those wide inquisitive eyes without the world weary cast, the smiling lips filled more with adolescent snark than the sneer of broken dreams. All I’m saying is that our man Thompson has done a bang up job of making our cast into plausible younger versions of themselves. And young Rip (I assume that’s Rip and not a sibling), what a galoot, as all teen boys are. We’ll just call him ‘Dip Haywire’. Great job Dan!

Apparently, from the first frame, Rip still doesn’t realize that he’s the “true love” from Cobra’s adolescent memories.

Right now, it looks like he’s BLOWING his chances to impress the girl.But if I’m judging the look in Cobra’s eyes, she might have some fun with him yet.
