Well, the indications, based on 2010, are not good for the poor Republicans in Indiana. The media aren’t making this up — Americans don’t have a lot of tolerance for hatred and obstructionism.
Sadly, Lisa may be right about this one. But we can hope that America (or the part that thinks of themselves as “right”) will wake up and understand that the real Boston Tea Party involved men with real courage putting their lives on the line for what they believed in, whereas the so called Tea Party is just posers caught up in an AstroTurf movement and dancing to a tune that they don’t understand.
But as long as the hardcore, no-compromise, partisan hack is a democrat (like Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Wasserman-Schultz, etc) you are ok with that and that is good for the country?
Bruce: I would absolutely agree that a good many original “TEA party” folks WERE as you mention, middle-class, and only after tax “equality” balanced budgets and yes, reduced waste in spending. They did NOT oppose the taxes truly necessary to keep government functioning. It was fiscal responsibility, NOT fiscal idiocy that ignored al principles of mathematics.
Sadly, the “movement” was rapidly taken over by the ANTI-tax (the rich) who took over, with NO REGARD for the actual middle class that was supposed to be represented!!
gop indy voters are idiots. they voted out a guy who worked tirelessly to stop the spread of old soviet nukes. but, then again it is indiana, where the klan is active, and kicked out ryan white, and peyton manning. it even has 2 time zones, and some places 3 time zones, because of their disbelief in daylight savings time.

To the tea party (ada NSDAP) and its followers: Sen. Lugar aside, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
