Waiting list- that is actually a big achievement for a Harris.

This storyline’s far too American-politics-centric to hold my interest. I have not the faintest idea how applying to be a car elevator operator, whatever that is, has anything much to do with anything.

Exactly. It’s all about the USA: people, politics, programs, and policies. Who would a reader except to learn about things and actions American?

Is Zipper’s over estimating his qualifications? He should apply for the lowest level job.The magical mansions lobbyist.

Does he have a college degree? If so, that’s a great job, today!

Yesterday Zipper was on the left, now he’s on the right. He’s practicing his flip-flopping.

My grandad used to say that: " Politicians are just like Whores, except that Whores are more honest and you at least receive a service from them."

I’ve known a couple of honest hookers in my time, but never an honest politician.

Actually, if the “elevator” is just to stack collector cars, in a smaller “footprint”, makes sense. If it’s because the terrain is too steep for a driveway; what the heck are they doing BUILDING THERE??

But, the real issue for Mitt’s “business sense” is, there must be a long line of people waiting to take back their jobs from robots, or buttons, due to Bain Capital wiping out their businesses, and jobs.

“Does ANY country’s internal politics ever REALLY have, " . . . anything much to do with anything", elsewhere in the world?"Well, it depends on who wins the election, and how dark your skin is, whether or not you’ll have American soldiers in your country teaching you about all things American.

Better than you think. He’s not refering to Sherlock Holmes, but, a slang term which is short for Homey, which is short for Homeboy.

Incidentally, isn’t Zipper’s “learner’s permit” a little light credential for parking a “coupla Cadillacs”?

There are Doonesbury America-politics-centric storylines that even a foreigner from the other side of the world, like me, can appreciate. And there is this one, which would be incomprehensible to anyone but an American. The former sort of story is why we evil raghead liberal foreigners read this strip. The latter is why I am not interested in this particular story.
