Pretty sure the joke is that Mr. Pibb has long been discontinued. I think it was meant as a clone to go against Dr. Pepper. I prefer Cheerwine myself, a local cherry soda.
Mr. Pibb still going strong in my area. I buy it when Coke products are on sale.
