Actually, it has long been cowhide. I can’t even find evidence that it was ever pigskin, certainly not in my rather lengthy lifetime. Lincoln’s favorite riddle: If you call a sheep’s tail a leg, how many legs does a sheep have? Four, calling a tail a leg does not make it one. Likewise, calling it pigskin doesn’t make it that.
MeGoNow: After they stop laying, they better be broilers, because they will be too tough for fryers.
When I see “SQUEAL”, it takes me back to a Burt Reynolds movie—-DELIVERANCE"—when men were made to squeal out in the woods during a canoe or white water rafting trip. 1970’s I believe.
