Uh… most States are in a foreign language. Michigan, for example, is from the Ojibwa Indian tribe “mishigamaa” which means “large water/lake.”

I know I don’t follow politics as closely as I should, however, when I heard that there was a dialogue going on about English for Puerto Rico statehood. I was like WTF? Isn’t that more an issue of debate for Congress when there is a bill submitted and not one for people trying to be nominated to run for president. I know that in Puerto Rico emotions run high on this issue, but shouldn’t the candidates be focused on larger issues that affect the entire poputation? It’s not like there isn’t and issue or two that the voting public wouldn’t like to know how the candidates stand on that concern the whole country.

Going from the Santorum premise those who live in Mountain, Arid Zone, Snowy Place, Ruddy Color, Flowery, and the state named for an island in a popular romance novel will have to change their states’ names just to be fair
